Eco-design approach

DOTSun , a mission-driven company, adheres to the Principles and Objectives of Development established by the United Nations.

DOTSun has set strong eco-design objectives, in particular the elimination of eternal pollutants (PFAS chemical molecules). These substances are widely used by solar panel manufacturers for the composition of backsheets.

Our approach has led to the development of zero PFAS repair solutions.

 

With the DOTSun solution, the reuse of solar panels will be strongly stimulated. The industry estimates that nearly 40% of degraded control panels could be reused; Currently, these panels are destined (at best) for destruction and recycling, and replaced by new modules.

 

On the other hand, 90% of greenhouse gas emissions from a solar panel are linked to its manufacturing process. With the DOT Sun solution , the carbon footprint will be reduced to a marginal fraction (essentially the production of the patch itself – located in France).
